All 4th and 5th graders at Community Montessori have some role in the musical. Students all join in preparing for the musical and performing in the first and last songs of the musical. As a student run musical, the students direct, choreograph, build set, design costumes, etc. for the musical with help from many parent AMAZING parent volunteers, the music teacher, classroom teachers, and the assistants.
Extra Musical Rehearsal and Costume/ Set Design Dates for Honk Jr
All rehearsals will take place from 2:30-3:15pm on the dates listed below. Any parents are welcome to come help with costume and/or set at these rehearsals as well! Parents MUST fill out the form for students to participate:
Thursday February 20th, Monday February 24th, Friday February 28th, Monday March 2nd, Thursday March 5th
Students are NOT required to attend any extra practices, but are welcome to on any of the days above. To give your children permission to participate in these after school musical practices or to sign up to volunteer at these practices, please fill out this form to participate.

Camilia is sharing all practice information (videos, lyrics, etc.) with students on flipgrid and google classroom. Due to copyright, Camilia cannot share the scripts for the musical electronically or post things publically (on the music website). Students will use their school email to login to google classroom and/or flipgrid to access any practice materials.
Costume/ Set Material Donations
We are looking for the following materials to help us prepare for the musical. If you happen to have extra of the following that you’d like to donate, please bring them by the music classroom. All materials given will NOT be returned, so please only give us things you don’t want back!
Feathers, feathers, and more feathers! Feathered Boas, Headbands, Felt, Tulle, Solid Colored Fabrics, baseball caps, sock cap (hats), farm animal related things/ costumes, Ribbons, hot glue, hot glue guns, Paint, extra fabric, face paint, elastic, paint brushes, extra fabric, fabric paint, large pieces of foam, fishing line, velcro, safety pins, sewing supplies, old dance shoes, googly eyes, colored knee socks, brown or black hoodies. We especially could use some blue, green, and brown fabrics if you have any of those, but we will take any extra fabric remnants.
